First Mans bike I ever rode !!! My Father had a 71, had it lowered 2" and lengthened 2" to do hill climbs but it was not to long where you could not ride motocross . I was 13 when he let me solo it for the first time, what a beast !!! he ended up giving it to me to ride since he could not afford to buy me a bike.

Thanks for sharing

I know all about these never rode one but always liked them. this one looks like it has the auto lube hooked up too. that was nice to have as to not have to use prenix all the time and then your not stuck, you can go to a pump in town and fill it and then get back on the dirt road's.

Had 3 of these in my lifetime. Great for wheelies didn't handle whatso ever. That kickstarted would hurt you . $400 - 500 in a crate new.

I see the lower link for the free floating brake mine didn't have that. Yep it tried to kill me everytime I rode it let alone raced it.

i dont know why the critics said this bike didnt handle?
I know it was good for deseret and open areas,
so i dont know why they woiuld cap on it like that.
Ive looked at alot of older bikes but the TM 400 makes more sense to me as an overall rider than most others out there of the period,

does anyone know how bad it is to not fit a monoshock bike.
its totallly agrivating.
but the TM 400 is still there to ride old style. and alot easier to aim and shoot in the corners with a person thats not 5.11 tall.
