I’m one to listen to the science. However its way to difficult when people don’t even follow the restrictions anyway. So why not just let them do what they want while the rest of take as much precaution as we can.

I don't get the people wondering why after literally years people are ready to move forward and live freely. Why are some anxious to continue a life of sweeping social controls and dictates restricting ordinary human activities. This is absurd at this point. There is no illness in the world that we can force to simply go away. We live and our bodies adapt. That is what it is to be human. Staying away from one onother and living isolated indoor lives while not having other medical conditions treated, deteriorating mental health, and limiting employment is not sustainable. Never has been. Unless people are excited about living a dystopian reality of contactless, regimented, isolated pod life where all interactions are online.
