Repentance doesn’t mean getting on your knees and grovelling before God confessing every sin that you can remember.
Repentance comes from the Greek word “Metanoia”, which means to change one’s mind.
The act of repenting is going from being an unbeliever to a believer.
Once you didn’t believe in the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus, and now you do.
Now you are a New Creation and live in the abundant grace and love of the Father.
There is no transactional component between you and the Father. His love and acceptance for you, is a gift, by His good pleasure.
Your identity is no longer as an orphan, you are now sons and daughters.
You are His righteousness, when you are making mistakes, the Holy Spirit convicts you of this righteousness.
You aren’t a sinner any longer, you are a saint that sometimes sins.
Your identity isn’t in who you were, it is in who you are now as a New Creation.
