Would you be interested in doing a full video on the Sennheiser hardware? I’d love to get more details on it.

Haha Cameron, that’s a classic tech geeks setup. I bet you spent ages researching all those parts. Brilliant. Works well as then last two videos looked great!

I always thought it was a wordplay on the word Falcon, the bird! Looked it up and yes, I was spot on.

How you think of falling when purchasing a camera cage? lol

Having said that, your video was really helpful on my s5iix build; For some reason there’s not many, if any, Falcam rigs setups for the LUMIX S5IIX online.

As richard brunning would say "overkill is my 2nd favorite type of kill"

When i saw the title, i was initially concerned that you weren’t aware of what youtube has been doing recently
(Youtube used to support resolutions such as 5K and 6K, but they recently removed support for those resolutions, so now, the highest resolution Youtube supports, without going up as high as 8K, is 4K)

That looks ridiculously far fetched compared to my ENG cameras :). Still, hopefully you'll get good results with it.

Interesting. I would say it is a lot of compromises, but it is very flexible. Of course many parts could be optimized, to reduce number of adapters, or integrate things, have less screws / points of failure, and smaller weight, but then flexibility could be also lower. For example that base plate, tripod plate, and main guide rails, could be one piece (if there was one made by somebody). Similarly the battery, having USB ports and own DTAP connector, which you do not use is a bit wasteful. And the microphone receiver plate could be optimized, but the receiver itself is very weird shape in my opinion.

If the weight and size are not a big concern, then sure it works, just a bit more work, and pricey pieces.

According to Apple, all you ever need for a professional camera rig is an iPhone… 😉. Thank you for making these videos!

blackmagic video assist 7 12g hdr doesn't record 5.9 or 6 k footage, pretty sure you will need to record camera internal - 4k max for video assist
