A beautiful frame, especially with the maple accents.  A hint shown to me by my mother - Lightly spray the backing paper with water and as it dries it will shrink up nice and taut with no ripples.

Palm is actually a grass - that's why it splinters like that. The frame looks FANTASTIC. The frame jig is slick - need to build one of those. Great job on the video as well. Scott

Thanks for another great video, David! It's neat to see you make a frame, knowing that frames are what got you into woodworking in the first place.

One neat trick I've seen frameshops do when papering the back is to leave the excess paper, flip the frame, and sand through the paper at the edges, which trims and finishes the paper in one step.
