Here are my favorite ways for how to make cheap frames look expensive... and they're super easy to recreate!

I am allll about making things look more expensive than they are. I love getting cheap frames from places like IKEA, Michael's and even thrift stores and completely reinventing them so they look a lot more high end. Surprisingly, it's pretty easy to do!

I have frames all throughout my apartment and they really do complete the space. With these easy tricks on how to make cheap frames look expensive, you can create the same look ✨

Lady I think you have an addiction : ) But seriously the glazing aka the acrylic sheet makes a huge difference too. For fine art that Ikea plastic clear sheet on top will cheapen the project.

Great video and advice. I would love to have some frame picture in the bathroom, but afraid the steam would get into the frame and damage the picture.

So you just put the pictures inside the frame and if matted, how does it stay in place? With tape and pressure from the frame? I was looking at some prints on eBay and saw one that said it was mounted and was wondering if all frame photos done at pro frame shops were mounted?! My understanding is mounting is a way to display the picture without a frame? So the mounting part I don’t really understand. But I’ll look for a pre made frame, to get around the custom framing costs.

Love this video! Thank you so much. As for the target frames..because they are thin is that why you opt out for thicker Michaels frames above the sofa? I see the canvas is framed thin. I ask because I’m trying to do that set up with ikea hover mirror.
