Heavy clay miner here. The preferable setup for heavy clay like this would be a sluice feeder as shown in the video (or apron), trommel screen (or vibrating or static Grizzley screen) for particles over 3-5 inches or so, a LOG WASHER, and finally a vibrating screen or trommel for particles <6-8mm. Hammer mills are expensive to run and can be problematic. If you wish to keep the current setup, I would only replace the trommel screen for a LOG WASHER. Trommel and hammer combo might not fully break all clay clumps. Make sure the hammer crusher discharge screen is 6 to 8mm.
