Setting up JBL Link 300 with Google Assistant
1. Unbox the JBL Link 300
2. Connect power supply to Link300
3. 4 dots on the top and the wireless icon on the base of the Link300
4. When the Link 300 is ready to be configured only the Wireless icon will be blinking at the base of the unit
5. The Google Assistant will tell you the next step by going to the Google Home app on your smartphone
6. Open the Google Home app on your smartphone
7. You should see an item at the top of the Welcome Home screen showing that 1 device has been found. It should be something like JBL-Link300 followed by 4 numbers.
8. Tap on the setup icon to continue
9. Tap Yes to continue the setup process
11. Tap on Continue
12. The Google Home app will connect to the JBL 300
13. You should hear a sound from Link 300
14. Tap on Yes to continue
15. Select the room that the Link 300 will be located in
16. Tap on Next to continue
17. Enter the name you want the Link 300 to be known by
18. Tap Next to continue
19. Tap on the Wifi SSID you want the Link 300 use
20. Tap Next to continue
21. If Google Home already has the password saved, it will ask you about using this Wifi network for future devices
22. Tap on Ok to continue
23. Once the JBL300 is connected, the Wifi icon will stay on solid and the Google Home app will now show Connected
24. Tap on Next to proceed to the next screen
25. The next screen will allow Google Assistant to distinguish between users
26. Tap on No Thanks for now to continue
27. Tap on I'm Sure to confirm you don’t want it to distinguish between others in your home
28. Tap on Allow on the Allow personal results screen
29. Enter your home address and tap on confirm address
30. The Add music services screen will allow you to connect to multiple music sources. Tap on Next to use only Google Play Music (for now)
31. The Add your video services allow you to connect to one or more of you video services. Tap Next to come back to this at a later point.
32. Tap Continue to complete the setup process
33. Tap Continue when the Link 300 screen appears
34. Tap on Finish Setup and you are done
How to factory reset JBL Link
Press and hold the Microphone Mute button for 13 seconds or more
