JoesGE.com is a pretty cool place (depending who you talk to it might be more than pretty cool. But hey, I'm just writing this down so that it says something down here, because that's more professional right?) and if you're still reading along at this point you might as well sit down and grab some popcorn because this is about to trail on about how we are this premiere repair service located in Washington State North of Seattle in basically the "Armpit of the US" near Mt Baker (Mt Baker has the world record for most snowfall at 1,140 inches in a season).

All this to basically say that we are all addicted to coffee and stay in the warehouse for ridiculously long hours in order to keep up with the demands of the youth for these two-sided head audio devices and speakers that float when you throw them in the ocean or in your bathtub to test if they actually float. On top of that, we do like it when less stuff ends up in landfills so we hoard everything on shelves with wheels so that we pollute less, it just sits in our warehouse losing molecules slowly over time degrading to become smaller and smaller.

If you are still reading at this point you deserve an award, or a high five, or something because you must either be the most patient person on the planet, or you read blogs frequently. And if the latter is the case, then this whole thing must seem pretty short so let's keep going.
We do some really interesting things here at JoesGE which are frequently documented in our sometimes weekly sometimes never vlogs.
Also, if you are wondering how we keep up with the demands of the people so well, its because 90% of the people that work here are all Russian around getting things done most of the time. Yes, that was a pun, you are welcome. We hope you have a pun-filled day, because who couldn't use a few laughs?

Hello Joe. Hope you're still looking over the comments here. Our JBL Link300 fell off a shelf and survived without a scratch. However, it plays audio broken with a loud "tick" sound every second or so. I disassembled it following your great tutorial checking for loose connectors or broken wires. Nothing unusual was found. Can you recommend which circuit board might need replacement? Or do you think we should send it to you for repair? Thanks for your reply.

This video saved me. My wife left some open candy on my speaker while I was doing some remodeling in the garage. Needless to say, that just happened to be the day I decided to take a week off from my project. Fast forward to me restarting and what do I see after lifting a hand towel off of the speaker? Yeah, a serious ant infestation.

In that short time, they had covered the top w/ little white things I assume were eggs and they had built a makeshift nest underneath. It wasn't hard to get the thousand or so I could see cleaned up but they kept coming out of it so I knew they'd gotten inside. I put it in a plastic bag & sealed it off then I threw it in the deep freeze for a few days to kill the remaining ants.

Today I took it apart and got a few hundred stragglers out of it. Piece of cake (again, thanks to the video!).

Hi, Joe, I'm currently working on repairing this speaker myself, yes I am to order the parts and not go out and buy them myself during this time of year, I am currently on the step of taking the speaker apart in two halves, it seems as though my my JBL-300 is stuck or, possible, I'm just too meek to pull it apart. Any tips?

That’s a really great share!!
Only question I have is. Are there any upgrades to this 300?
Like better amp boards or speakers?

I am struggling to find out how to get my JBL Link 300 repaired. The speaker is fine. It just doesn't do anything other than introduce itself when I plug it in. JBL customer service sucks and they sell refurbished items. How do I get mine "refurbished?" Does anyone know?
