quick que... why would you square both sides by 1/8 3:52 to solve the k? is that the orig solution or it just came from the given x and y?

For problem#6, shouldn't the units match? If the speed is given in mph and distance in ft, then shouldn't we convert miles into feet to get the correct answer? (1 mile = 5280 feet)|

sir how do we know which one's to plug for x and y if the word problem doesn't specifically state the phrase "varies directly or proportionally"

In the second example, when you were answering part B of the question, where did you get the (9)^2? I thought D=6. Sorry I think I missed something and I can't figure it out!
