Drew's 2025 Pivot Phoenix DH Bike | Bike Check

I’ve been fortunate enough to work full time testing and reviewing bikes for roughly 15 years now. I spent the first 5 years like most bike industry nerds, buying a new bike every season as I always wanted to have the latest and greatest as my “personal test mule.” It took me about that long to realize, I was so busy testing and riding other people’s bikes, that I never got the chance to ride my own. Because of that, I stopped buying bikes around 2015 as I just never got to ride them and it hurt my feelings to have such beautiful, customized bikes sitting around collecting dust. I am thrilled to say, I’ve broken the streak, and I will be making time to ride my recently purchased, Pivot Phoenix DH bike.

Nicest looking DH I've ever seen. Was gonna get a v10 but hated the red it first released with. A few months ago they released it in black, but I broke my leg so figured I'd wait. Glad I did, definitely getting this one.

On Pivot's Website, they have the Pro Saints build with the black frame and black forks, and it does look great, but your custom build with black frame and gold fork looks even better!

The frame is black so you need to keep the gold fork so it pops. Bike looks dialed. No changes required. Perfection!

In my opinion that is the first bike I've seen with the all gold Fox fork that actually works. All of a sudden it isn't so loud anymore.

That said I'm sure those black lowers with gold accents will give it a more planted look, so I see why you're not fully comitted yet.

Great looking thing no matter, and as a Pivot Switchblade owner I know you got a quality piece of kit there.

Congrats man, looks amazing. I like the gold but i agree with the black fork and gold decals would look good.

If you keep the bike as it is keep the gold fork. If you were to change the wheels to gold spokes (it would look like gold Dayton wheels on a 64’ Impala) then go black fork.
