I bought a Z30 a few months back. I love it. I had 10.2.1 right out of the box so luckily this is the only experience I've had with BB10. I don't experience any lag in the hub either. Maybe it's just on the older devices.

Yeah that's a fair review, as my old school report used to say "good progress, but could do better' - I love my Z30 experience and have no regrets about ditching IOS.

I have to say that even though Blackberry isn't popular in the market anymore, their updates are far more better than any other OS updates.

Blackberry keeps plugging along with some good updates despite the constant bad news about the health of the company. An an underdog, I'm rooting for them despite being an Android devotee.

I've seen videos of 10.2.1 that show the Google Play Store installed. Couldn't that technically allow for easy Android app updates, or are things just too different on Blackberry to make that possible?

well the speed at which blackberry is putting out these updates you won't be able to ignore the os's greatness for long. If only the U.S. carriers would put out the os updates on time. And the hub isn't slow at all, it only takes a second to load a message on facebook or tweet, that's because it has to connect to the app first. on other platforms you would have to open the facebook app just to read and reply to the message. Texts and e-mails are lighting fast.

the irony of the general bashing by the media (not PocketNow who is with DaddyDoes one of the few who review BB10 honestly) is that Blackberry really made a great OS and is far more efficient in multitasking than IOS or Android, but they find it too simple to jump on the bandwagon (that's not fair nor very clever, as BB10 has a lot of good solutions and even more potential to develop). And now that Android apps can be run (almost all of them) the apps gap is no more a problem. So guys let just try BB10 with no bias, have a go with a Q10 or better if you're not a physical keyboard nostalgic with a Z30 (really a great device!)

I thought that was a very level headed fair review.
I'm going to try BB10, for a few reasons, but mostly because of the hub. It fixes what I hate most about using my android. I can't stand closing an app to check a message. I know, I can open the multi window, or press the home button if the message app is open, that's all to inconvenient.
For me the hub is that "WOW" factor, is not about a tally mark of features, it's about using a phone the way that works best for me.

Blackberry does a good job after all. they just give stable and nice system for a smartphone. i just think if blackberry has a lot of loyal consumers like businessman or some enterprise, then they develop that ecosystem well, blackberry will run a business for more years. Android is good, but its because some industries can make a low build phone with the newest system, so it can reach more level of society. I looked people around, themn most of them just cared too much on appearence not what they feel comfortable.

The pinching gesture for email is absolutely genius. I wish iOS and android had this! But I hope blackberry will not end. It sucks that blackberry is going through this, and after the tmobile incident, I started to lose hope for BB. But let's see if BB will climb up from all of this! I hope so.

With this Android compatibility update and that keyboard, I might consider switching to a Blackberry from a Nexus 4, but since BB is falling weak in the market, I'm more concerned about how long BB will be around.

I love my Z10 on 10.2.1....still some improvements to be made, but they are definitely moving faster than the other mobile os.
