19:05 - Picturing in my mind opportunities for world-building fan-fiction - imagine a cohort of jewel-encrusted Krieg nobles, drunkenly leaning on chairs in some subterranean bunker. All of them living through the worst day of their lives. Distant explosions still audible through 100m of rock and ferrocrete amidst the firestorm of Colonel Jurten's making some 8 hours prior.

They had had it all. The finest of foods. The finest of clothing. Vast estates, beautiful gardens. Luxuries most on their world could only dream of. But they threw it all away. They've destroyed themselves through their own brazen, obvious stupidity.

They reminisce softly. Remembering the 'good times' through tear-streaked makeup and powdered wigs. Now dusty grey from the dislodged layers of the ceiling. And they whisper curses upon Colonel Jurten, whilst savouring what is likely the last bottle of Kriegen Rosé in existence. Their collective exhaustion and life-long adherence to etiquette the only things staving off acrimonious finger-pointing.

A noble glances at the clutter on the table. The handle of a ruby-studded Compact Laspistol pokes out beneath a parchment.

The other nobles look at it too. Then lock eyes. There's a long pause.

Cut to black.

*Scribe:* "It was very important."

*Guilliman:* "I'm actually impressed: I thought the Iron Cage was the rock bottom of strategic decisions, but somehow the Administratum found a way to exceed even that."

*Scribe:* "So our decisions managed to match even a Primarch?!? Praise the Emperor!"

*Guilliman:* ('Rotting Carcass' might have been too generous a phrase...)

You really did a great job of emphasising the revulsion that the Krieg should really incite when actually thinking about their society and culture. I've always admired that bit of the character you play that can't help but be a loyal citizen, yet can't help being disturbed and repulsed by how the Imperium functions; great job mate!
