Correction: *At no time on during the Siege of Vraks did the Death Korps ever break and run.* What continues to be reported as such is enemy propaganda and misinformation of the worst kind. Each of these reported instances were, in fact, the Death Korps *_enacting a tactical turn and attacking on a new front._*

I still wonder how the Alpha Legion managed to disappear.
Teleport? Tunnels? Sorcery...a spray bottle of green paint?

Man, I was so annoyed when I have to scroll and click through each ep to listen to it while working, but now with this new 2 hours video and the previous Part 1-6 version, I can finally get my job done under the blessing of the Emperor without interruption

To be perfectly honest. Zhuelke wasn’t that incompetent. He literally wasn’t allowed to know of traitor astartes and traitor titans. The fleet was completely out of his control. And the administratum decided that somehow a siege didn’t require siege engineers. He did the best with what he had.

Admiral Rasiak reminds me of Lord Nelson in a way, especially with his speech that sounds like “England expects that every man will do his duty” before Trafalgar

"How bad can it be?"

"Sir the Krieg soldiers are retreating"

"wut?"

"Ok, men, we're going to mount a major offensive tomorrow."
"Where at, sir?"
*Points at spot on map marked "Mortuary Ridge"*
"Oh."

1:07:40 It pains my soul to hear of Macharius tanks getting destroyed.

It's amazing to me that somebody thought a couple Lunar class could tango with a Battleship, especially a Chaos one.

the fact that the big push was so intense it made some Krieg soldiers retreat is a testament of how horrifying that fight was.

Sorry for the re-upload, someone rightfully pointed out the Big Push Episode 8 was missing from the compilation.
Guess I'll have to check the firmware on my servitors to shift the blame from myself....

There’s kind of an amusing paradox hidden in the big push. It was the result of the Imperium putting limits on the manpower Zhulke had available but allowing him access to near unlimited masses of ammunition and weapons.

It’s often said the Imperium values a soldiers equipment more than the actual soldier but that is clearly not the case here, it’s especially amusing considering it’s the Death Korp having their lives valued.

I love how the angels of death just bust in, fuck everything up, and leave without elaborating further.

Honestly as soon as the chaos forces landed a force that large and the imperials retook the system, I would've evacuated the kriegsmen and then declared exterminatus. I get that it's an armoury world and yes there's a shrine to some saint. However, destroying heretic astartes and traitor titans is worth it, especially with how hard it is for chaos to replace their numbers, that's a pretty big gain for a pretty small loss in the grand scheme of things

Whatever Pattern of Cogitators they used to “crunch the numbers” to calculate how long and how much it would take needs to be re-sanctified, that should have been the *minimum* necessary, why they couldn’t add another 1-3 Line Corps to finish things quicker is beyond anyone’s thinking.

"With the Citadel finally in sight, the Siege looked like it was soon comming to an End."
*Looks at the video timeline*: 31:26 / 1:57:57
Yeah I don't think that is gonna happen anytime soon.

Also to think that all this waste of Resources and Manpower is the fault of the Inquisition hiring the most Incompetent Vindicare Assassin ever Trained.

Iron Warriors and the Alpa Legion are truly the Workhorses of the Chaos(Marine) Forces.

I can almost feel the despair of the korps at 1:11:00, with the sound of chain swords. So awesome man!

This is such a good editing style and video. I really like listening to these while studying, just a nice subtle voice explaining the lore of 40K. 🤙🤙
