As you learn English and participate in conversations, you'll notice that people sometimes talk about other people. In this free English lesson you'll learn how to describe these types of conversations. People have a lot of different ways to talk about each other.

At times people say nice, kind things about other people. Sometimes they say mean or bad things. As you continue to learn English, you'll want to know how to describe these conversations.

In this free English class you'll learn words and phrases like: to gossip, to throw shade, to complain, to whine, to be a reference, to stab someone in the back, to speak highly of, to put someone down, to sing someone's praises, and many more!

Hello, Bob! Thanks for the lesson. I don't know about others, but I realized I knew most of the negative expressions, but only a few of the positive ones. I don't know why, but I don't hear much of these expressions on tv or cinema. Again, thank you for bringing us that good side of your language and culture.
