Money is a very popular topic for an English lesson. Many people enjoy these types of lessons because they like to learn about money and how to talk about money in English.

In this free English lesson I'll make sure that you learn over 40 vocabulary and phrases about money. Pay close attention not only to the words on the screen, but also to the phrases I use as I talk about each word. That's very important too! When I talk about bills and coins I'll even show you some Canadian money so you can see what it looks like!

In this English lesson you'll learn words and phrases like mortgage, winnings, allowance, spending money, inherit, down payment, and more!

I hope you enjoy this English lesson about money!

⌛ Remember: Always watch the video three times. Twice today with English subtitles on, and once tomorrow with the English subtitles off. This will reinforce the English you have learned!

You are correct Bob, Canada makes New Zealands banknotes. We also make coins for many other countries. Our $5 is sir Wilfred Laurier, $10 Sir John A McDonald, $20 Queen Elizabeth, $50 William MacKenzie King and $100 is Borden. All past Prime Ministers except for Queen Elizabeth, our current head of state.
