Tommee, only now do I understand your interpretation of this song. It originally was a heart cry for Israel to be saved. It was turned into a pretty Christmas Carol. That’s not at all what it originally was meant to be. This version is exactly right. I hear the suffering, the longing, the mourning, the hope in the promise. You are a genius.
