Cryo Laser and Cryo Sclerotherapy (CLaCS) is a novel Brazilian technique pioneered by Prof.Kasuo Miyake in 1999. It is used to treat telengiectasias and reticular veins (commonly known as "spider veins"). Spider veins are seen commonly in females over legs. They cause cosmetic issues and also dull pain/burning/itching/bleeding in few cases.

The CLaCS technique uses state of the art equipments in a specially designed Phlebosuite. It is much superior to the existing modalities of treatment such as injection sclerotherapy, intense pulsed light (IPL) and 1064 Nd:YAG laser. The CLaCS technique offers excellent cosmetic and long lasting results without any complications such as pigmentation, skin necrosis or anaphylaxis which can occur after other modalities of treatment.

Thousands of patients have been treated successfully using CLaCS in nearly 20 countries around the world. Surekha Varicose Veins Clinic is the first and only clinic in India to offer CLaCS techique in the way it is performed by Prof.Miyake at his clinic in Sao Paulo. Dr.Ashish D. Dhadas, General and Laparoscopic Surgeon with special interest in the endovenous treatments of Varicose Veins has trained at Clinica Miyake and performs the procedure at Surekha Clinic.

The present video is a lecture on CLaCS delivered by Prof.Victor Canata, Paraguay - Vice President, International Union of Angiology. Dr.Ashish Dhadas was one of the panelists on the webinar to give his inputs. The webinar was a part of Vascular Online Training organised by Prof.Ayman Fakry, Vascular Surgeon from Egypt.
