Yes, it should be allowed. This encourages innovation and competition. The decision to subscribe an IPO, is still in the hand of investors.

In an interview, one of the prominent and controversial entrepreneurs said that traditional businesses make money by selling products but the startup people like us make money by selling ideas to the investors. The idea may or may not work and we don't care much about that.

After listening to this do you think we should invest in startups as retail investors, on the stock market?
These loss-making startups are obviously trying to repay the institutional investors, the original promotors, and any kind of debt using the retail investor's money.

Their revenue is growing day by day and they have the potential to become one of the finance giants in India. Its just how long the people have faith in them.

Not allowing the loss making companies in stock market means not allowing them to raise funds. In my opinion, only long term invester should apply for IPOs. But I have seen some channels encouraging people for investing in IPO to earn high returns instantly within 10-15 days. It is possible but the risk is too high. As per the financial education, your channel comes to the top for me. You are doing great job. I have learned about many things PF, Insurance, Mutual Funds, Stock Market, and lot more from you.

Sir Logo ko pata nahi chalta ki konsi company loss making hai aur konsi profit. Unko lagta hai ki jitna jaldi ipo mein invest karenge utna accha ki baad mein share uppar jayega toh profit hoga. Voh log reasearch work karna bhul jate hai

Yes, even loss making companies are listed in the stock markets but only 15 percent of thier equity is traded in secondary markets (whereas in profit making companies this is different).
Its all because sebi doesn't wants us to make losses In stonk mrkts !

Yes. It's up to investors whether they want to invest or not. After all, it's their money๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

No. loss making companies should not be allowed. The last time I heard to get listed in NSE a compnay should have atleast 3 years of profits. I dnt know if this rule changed or what. but it should stay. because not many ppl in India are financially literate and they invest based on the brand name and not financials. Its the duty of SEBI to protect such investors.

Loss making companies can be listed. The IPO regulations should make companies disclose more information. Plus, the shareholders pre IPO should not be able to sell the shares for a period of at least from the date of listing.
