Dude, I watched so many of your videos to learn new things... I know a lot about the UFC and the Fact that you nailed all these points gives me comfort in knowing the integrity and standard that you must have in your other videos. Like i feel like I trust your stuff even more now seeing how you got all this down, kudos!

1:44 correction: Groin strikes were allowed in the early days of UFC. See UFC 4 - Keith Hackney VS Joe Son for a famous example.

I loved the 2009ish-2016ish years. I trained back in highschool. We couldn’t afford the ppvs, but the guys at my gym talked my parents into taking us to watch with them at hooters, and it was the best night and became a tradition. The ultimate fighter was so much fun to watch too. I miss the days with GSP, Anderson Silva, big country, Nick and Nate Diaz, chael sonnen, Tito Ortiz, chuck liddell, urijah faber, Dominick Cruz, and so many more

The man who never met a war he didn't love hated UFC. Ironic.

I remember in the mid 2000s my dad was in love with the UFC just as they were taking off.

The Ultimate Fighter, especially the Forest Griffin v Stephan Bonnar fight was a HUGE reason for the comeback. That show saved the entire sport. I still remember renting the VHS tapes from Family Video and getting a black box to watch the PPVs for free, good times. Havent been happy with the leadership for a few years now and am actively watching other promotions.

The ice man chuck Liddell is one of things that saved the UFC. He got so popular people loved him. And he was so fun to watch.

The first season of TUF is the true explosion point for the UFC, I was 11 years old when that happened and remember being blown away seeing guys named forest griffin and Stephen Bonnar scrap like that. Then hearing names like chuck the ice man Liddell, rampage Jackson, axe murderer silva, the spider, gsp, Hughes. Too many to name but just got hooked in the absolute hayday of the sport. Then mcgregor single handedly added billions in worth to the company with what he was able to accomplish. I grew up with the ufc so it’ll always be my favorite sport ♥️

What Dana and the Fertitta brothers did with this company is nothing short of amazing. I'm a long time fan so have spent over 20 years watching the UFC go from strength to strength.

Would have liked to hear you talk about the anti trust case. I know its ongoing. But it is a great look into to business model.

While I don't care much for UFC, I always love these types of Company Man videos.

I’m a HUGE MMA fan!!!! I buy nearly every ppv and watch the fights every weekend. Surprised you covered it. Fantastic video! Thank you.

The actual fight itself between Bonnar and Griffin shouldn't be understated either. It's arguably the greatest fight in UFC history and had it not been so, it might not have attracted the audience that it did that night.

I've been asking for this video forever! Thank you!

Making themselves watchable through bars, sports bars, and Fast Food chains is probably what has helped them the most. Going to a wing place with the boys and watching with a crowd also excited to watch is half the fun.
