I wish I could contact Kevin to ask some very sincere questions. There are so many parts of this talk that made me cringe… it seems that I have found myself on the opposite end of the spiritual spectrum. I have found rigidity to be a personal anxiety “bomb” and the only relief I can find is when I just look simply to Jesus and the commandment to love.

Just love.

Not rules and rigidity and complexity and black & white checkboxes… the only anxiety-balm I can find is the command to just love.

Love. On that hangs all the laws and commandments.

I don’t doubt Elder Pierson’s intelligence or sincerity, BTW, I just (currently) see things differently and wish I could explore it together with him personally.

Really appreciate how human Br Pearson gets around 30mins, sharing about his falling short as a father. Strikes me that the entire talk is for the purpose of glorifying God. An effective speaker who's not self promoting but very clear about doctrines and where he stands. Not about looking good. I'm watching and learning:)
