I just got the Sony A45, but I will probably send it back and get one of these when available. One thing that really annoys me on the Sony it that in 'genre ' everything is grouped by Artist not Album. Is the grouping on the fiio better organized ?

Thanks for this unboxing review, I was waiting for more infos about this dap cause there´s not much content at this moment. The device seems to respond properly, better than many dap running android, thanks to the exynos cpu and the deeply custom UI.
I hope the heat of the the device is not too intense in use, and that we can change the color of the player app cause I don´t really like the white panel at the bottom.

Only SE output but support LDAC and AptX-HD, yeah sure this is targeted to bluetooth user.
I tried WM1000xm2 with LDAC and it's sound fantastic, sony's bluetooth propietary codec is really good.

If this has a streaming capability that would be a dope, but I didn't see any wifi connection in setting and it's using a stripped down android.

Excellent, I may have to force myself to wait for your R3/M7 comparison (assuming you do one) since this is one of the contenders for a new DAP. Right now the Hiby R3 is in the lead. Although I did see a comment from a Fiio rep on their forums implying this device is less 'audiophile' and more 'consumer' as far as sound goes.

Just received my device and I realize that we cannot adjust the volume when using a wired headphone. This is Absolutely ridiculous !!
Anybody knows how to overcome this serious problem ? to use an external amplifier ? or ???

the screen looks like a 20 dollar smartphone again... why does fiio not get a grip on the screens ? i know it is not a high priority for hires dacs but those screens look absoutely garbage. (hiby gets it right in that aspect!)
