US, CHINA, RUSSIA, INDIA are top 4 most powerful militaries in the world according to Power Index.
So basically, U.S.+India vs Russia+China can just be renamed as World war 3.
If hypothetically that does happen then US+India have a better chance of a win than Russia+China but am certain that it will not be a spectacular victory.

You only mentioned Arjun tank but how can you forget India's development of Vijayanta tanks, Cheetah light helicopters, Tejas light fighter jets, BrahMos missiles, Prachand attack helicopters, missiles and radars, etc. Of course, Arjun Mk I tank and its development s*cked (primarily because of the bureaucracy and pro-import arms lobby within the Indian politico-military bureaucracy) but it's not that bad.

It is true that India's military lacks support base in comparison with the Chinese one but saying that Indian military is technologically inferior is BS. Indian armed forces are more trained and experienced than Chinese ones. Indian Army is more combat hardened and strong willed than the Chinese PLA.

Also India's first aircraft carrier was INS Vikrant which was incomplete HMS Hercules of the British Royal Navy, and was acquired by the Indian Navy in 1957. And finally entered into service in 1961. It was the pride of the Indian Navy and made India first Asian country to possess an aircraft carrier after the Imperial Japan(until 1945). So please get your facts correct.

For the record the amount of soldiers died on both sides is approximately 20 for the Indian side and approximately 40, not 4 for the Chinese
