God, I love how he slips into "goofy dad" mode. That's how Superman should be.

Almost every single episode get me acknowledging how great of a brother Jonathan is.

I LOVE how proud and excited he is as a dad for his son in that moment..."My son has SUPER STRENGTH!!!"...SO adorable...😂🤣

Let's be honest, "imagine Cutter's face" was what triggered the super strength. Love the twins' dynamic.

1:19 Can somebody give him "Dad of the Year" or something? Superman's too adorable as a dad for his boys

I love his performance as Superman and Clark, he nails it everytime and the brothers relationship is the heart of this show. I can't wait to see how they both develop their powers.

Tyler is so good as Superman. Captures the wholesome family man and farm boy, and clark kent innocent reporter, Like Christopher, and the raw power and badassness like henry. Truly the best Superman

This whole "training scene" is just pure gold lol, especially Clark's reaction, this scene had me laughing/giggling but also proud, I am so excited for this episode, like literally excited for the rest of the upcoming episodes...

I love how despite not apparently (I say "apparently" because I feel like he's gonna get some powers later on during the season) receiving any powers Jonathan is still very supportive of his brother and doesn't act jealous (for the most part) towards Jordan

1:20 you can hear the genuine happiness in Tyler’s voice. shows how much of a great actor he is.

I gotta say this is easily oner of the best superman portrayals I've ever seen. The awkward look Clark has when Jonathan tells Jordan to imagine cutter's face. The Joy Clark has at he son success.

So much to criticize for the live action DC films, shows these days, but that is just one more reason to say this: this show is amazing! Good writing, great cast, Tyler is phenomenal as Superman, and I think they do a great job at capturing Clark's character. Can't wait for the next episodes!

I'm going to add to the chorus of support for this show. I'm an older guy and Chris Reeve will always ultimately be my Superman I was really frustrated with MoS. Henry Cavill is great, sfx etc. but the personality traits just didn't match up for me. Ironically, when Tyler got the gig on Supergirl, I was underwhelmed because he didn't fit the esthetic, and his power was nerfed. But what has become obvious is that Tyler, and the writers/producers of this show "get" Superman. With all the power and responsibility, and stress Clark is under, he still has to fundamentally be a good, happy, hopeful guy. The combination of inherent personality traits, and his upbringing make the man; and that man is supposed to inspire and be a role model for others. The argument from MoS fans was that he was just learning to be Superman. Sure, his powers and responsibility, but traits are developed by 10 years old, and the brain is fully developed by 25. A 30 year old Clark would have been fully realized as the kind of person he would be. Of course there's diversity in emotions, but they are not the template. It's been over 40 years, since Superman's portrayal has been this good. Routh was pretty good as well, but again some of the premise of Returns didn't sit well. He was actually great in the Crisis crossovers. And if you throw in other good actors and great production value into this show, as they've done so far, it just makes me really happy to be a viewer, and wish this show the best.
