By far the best hibiscus pruning video. He shows you how to do the whole thing from beginning to end. I hope bill is doing well

It seems so easy. I stay in the tropics and find it so difficult to get rid of plant pest. Thank you so much dada.

The cut branches can be planted again... put in a jar of water after weeks it roots up and transfer to a pot...

I have a lot of flowers right now, but I would like to cut my Hibiscus back and re-pot to a bigger pot. Is that okay?

I have 3 hibiscus plants, all 3 have spider mites and 2 have mealy bugs. I have tried alcohol and water, dish soap and neem oil and cannot get rid of them. Any advice?

Is that a hibiscus tree or shrub ? Also how much on the systemic treatment do you use? Is the systemic something I should use when I place it outside ?

Hi, I live in Zone 2b/3 (depending on which model used) and have had a hibiscus for many, many years. It has blown off the deck in a windstorm multiple times. It has had aphids and major leaf drop once but still keeps trucking along. I have done minor pruning (trimming broken branches with loppers) in the Springtime and put her outside. She usually blooms around Christmas/New Year's for me. But this year she is quite late...like now the first week of May, when I am about to put her outside. My guess is that it was a little too cold for her over winter by the windows.

It is still hovering around the freezing point overnights, so I am waiting to get her used to outside temps. I guess my question is will I risk a non-bloom year if I prune and put her outside while in bloom?

Thanks

Weather suddenly dropped to 20 and my hibiscus was outside
It looks like a glossy leaves I don’t know if it’s dead or not
But even all the plants that I covered up including hibiscuses, impatient plant & lilies are dead but hibiscus is not down but leaves don’t look healthy
I don’t know what to do with it

I don't get how cutting a branch makes it grow 2 or more branches from that cut branch. Where exactly do we cut it near a leaf or something? Still unclear to me.
