Показать описание
Welcome again as we begin the initial process of the sub-floor install with cutting, painting, gluing, and decking the furring strips into the van. We cut the 3/4 plywood to fit evenly spaced between the "peaks" to distribute any weight placed onto the floor. They then were all painted to prevent mold and moisture buildup onto the bare wood. Once dry, the strips were glued into place then decked flat with a hand rasp and router to provide a flat surface our plywood can lay on.

Tools and Materials:
23/32 plywood
Combination Square
Table Saw
Miter Saw

Yours is one of the best vids i've seen for subflooring. We just bought a new Sprinter and am in planning stages now and gathering tools and supplies right now. Question: How much Adhesive did you use? I'm thinking 4 tubes for metal to wood furring strips. Somewhere I read 1 tube will do 30ft of 1/4" bead. I have a pocket drill jig too...(blue) too...I decided to use 3/4" tounge & groove for a tough heavy duty floor and only 1/2" rigid polystyrene foam board for r3 insulation. I'm 6'4" so I'd like to keep all the standing height O can...I'll use one roll of vinyl floor. I like and appreciate your construction methods and mine will be similar but of course different. Hope you gain subscribers fast.
