Welcome and thanks for joining us as we Insulate our 2020 Ford Transit AWD DSD Mid Length/Height van conversion!

We ended up using nearly all of the extra 10 feet later purchased to finish the job. All in all if you are considering 3m Thinsulate, go ahead and buy 50 feet when you purchase it (148" WB Long). You will use it! Also, you will need 4 cans of 3m 90 spray adhesive. Dont skimp on other products unless you already know it works. 3m 90 is also tough to find right now 4/28/21 from any source so plan accordingly. To note as well, cramming your hand in all of the tight holes in the van will Freddy Kreuger the back of your hand and wrist, less you got rhino hide!

I have full windows, so 40ft was enough for my van. I have enough left now to still do inside my doors and finish stuffing all the channels. 3M 90 adhesive was in short supply online, but was just sitting there on the shelf at Home Depot. After wearing out two pairs of scissors, I bought the Milwaukee scissors, and they are tough! Since I have so many windows, I need to insulate the window coverings. Neither my wife nor I can sew. So we splurged and bought a complete set from Strawfoot in Santa Cruz, CA, near where we live. The owner makes excellent insulated window covers with magnets that block all light. Expensive, though.
