The loudest man is often the weakest man. Manners and calmness are what project power.

It seems that for some reason people think that being a bit of a jerk makes you an alpha

Making precise decisions doesn't have to be rude. Be polite and use your manners.

“May I have” is the correct and educated way of ordering something

We really live in a era where respect is regarded as a weakness not a strenght. Being respectful is much more masculine than trying to be macho

Don’t confuse “manners” with passive speech. A combination of friendly or confident tone with assertive communication creates a better impression.
its an example on how speech makes you sound, this is not about just ordering food, it is about eliminating the passive voice in favor of assertive words with a polite tone

It is perfectly respectful to say "I'll have the ribeye" when ordering at a restaurant. You don't need to say "may I please have...".

Both are perfectly respectful in that situation.

A frightened man has to over compensate with loudness/ rudeness.

It's called being polite, and showing respect to the servant to your table 😁

It's being polite.
I find it rude when people order by saying "give me" or "I'll have"..
My mom raised me better.
I'm ok with saying "may I please have..."
And I'll always tip. And say thank you.
