So basically its the perfect secondary weapon bc most likely you have an AK or AR as your "primary" rifle so you can choose which ever style mag release you wanna train yourself to use when you're using your mp5 instead of your rifle.

The button actually works better for removing the magpul 50 round drums since you can’t rock them out.

With all that extra plastic between the trigger and magazine, i wonder why they dont move mag release closer

Cant remember but a forgotten weapons video explained that mag release and if i remember correctly, when it came out supposedly many us soldiers felt the paddle was atkward to get used to after the iconic m16s hence the buttons inclusion. Again i could be wrong, but there is definately a legitimate reason for its existance
