Dude. You nail the 'quick-but-thorough' tutorial format here. Super clear, and no time wasting. Thanks a ton.

Thank you! This is exactly the video I needed. I only have a plex container running on my SynologyNAS. All my other containers and portainer instance are running on my raspberrypi.
Seemed overkill deploying full fat portainer to my NAS and directly connecting to the docker API seemed complicated. Thanks again super clean and concise video

Excellent Video, thankfully I do not need to install portainer on Synology.

Great stuff!!! @Noted
any tips on Uptime-Kuma monitoring containers on Synology via remote DockerHost (TCP/HTTP)?
There is option for it on Kuma's Settings, under docker hosts, but not sure how to expose it from Syno

Would be nice to see the same workaround for the QNAP NAS.

@geeked this guide is a little out of date now, as portainer has changed some of the menu names and settings, and your step-by-step guide now doesn't flow

Your tutorials are great! I found an easier way to connect Portainer to Synology using just the "Portainer Agent" instead of the "Portainer Edge Agent." At 1:05 where you choose "Edge Agent", just choose "Agent" instead. Then run the command shown in Portainer, but change the volume as you did in this video to match the Synology disk structure.

Here's the full command line I ran on Synology after adding the agent and it shows up in Portainer.
sudo docker run -d \
-p 9001:9001 \
--name portainer_agent \
--restart=always \
-v \
portainer/agent:2.16.2

I go through the instructions and get to the end, and alongside my synology entry I see "associated" in red and no details on the synology - I do have an existing Portainer container on the synology - do I need to remove that?

The frequency of these videos is too slow. I need a new one every day. 😆
