The way you present the car, GM could have sold a million of these things if you
doing a Commercial for them back in the day. 👍

I've owned a C6 and a C7, but the C3 is probably my favorite Corvette body style ever. I love those dramatic lines with the large tires. Man, what a badass looking car.

I bought a 79 new in 1979 for $12, 100. It now (2024) has 12, 500 miles on it. Blue on blue (see thumbnail). Just replaced the tires after 44 years. Always garaged, always covered, never seen rain or snow. Still in mint condition.

Just a little PSA for anyone considering buying a C3: most C3’s did NOT come with any of these features except the t tops and pop ups lol. Great video, and one of my favorite parts of owning a C3 is that all these options COULD come from the factory, making it easier to retrofit upgrades, but unfortunately most did not. For anyone looking to buy a C3 who wants these features, they were much more common in the later models 77-82. It’s actually kinda funny how different the earlier models, even mine only being from 75, it has a completely different interior. Tilt/telescopic steering wheel was AVAILABLE but not factory back then (roughly $900 to buy and install), the seats actually folded from the bottom instead of halfway (newer model seats are usually $800-1500 on marketplace), so they only fold forward into the dash, but not flat, and surprisingly they actually did have a button to hold them in place unlike the later models, and power windows are also hard to find on early c3’s (roughly $1200 I think for factory power windows, or $400 for a DIY aftermarket kit). Once again, loved the video, just thought I’d provide a little extra info.

You forgot -awesome almost 50/50 front to rear balance, great rear independent suspension, relatively low weight, affordable price for a sports car, a fiberglass body that won't rust, ease of finding parts and lots more ! Nice car !

My grandpa 1970 Ford LTD had power windows, locks, mirror and seat. Seeing a 79 model with power windows is common. I've been a factory dealership trained mechanic since 1996-97 so this kind of stuff is second nature . Never had a Vet but I had 7 different F bodies. 6 Camaro and Z28 . 71 Formula Firebird. The headlight dimmer switch on the floor that was activated by your foot was a cool thing I miss

I traded my 82 elcamino about a week ago for a one owner 60k miles 79 c3 . C3 been sitting indoors since 03, so she needs work, but does run and somewhat drive. I always wanted a c3 . At 60 years old I finally got one . Super happy with the trade. Had the Elco for a few years and basically just finished rebuilding it. Everyone tells me I got the better end of the deal. I agree. C3 is what a vette should look like.
