Thanks for sharing this experience... Very genuine. I came here looking for motivation to help continue my current fast and found something else. 7 days is commendable.
My first time fasting was this year. I did a 30 day fast, with no tv, youtube, sweets, and no longer sleeping in bed with my gf at the time. I replaced that time with prayer and reading my word daily. I also fasted from food for a day. At the end of the day I was filled with the holy spirit- an unbelievable peace indescribable feeling of joy and tears. I spent a long time after on my knees repenting and thanking God for his mercy and what he did on the cross. This led me to getting re-baptized and I have never been the same. I am no longer held captive to my flesh and cant stop sharing the good news and what he's done.
I doubted God before, and he showed me he's real.

God will reveal Himself to you at the perfect timing and you’ll understand why

I was searching for God for a few then boom 💥 He showed up in my room and He spoke to me

He came when I didn’t expect.
I kinda just gave up searching to see Him, I just made a decision to follow Him, love Him, receive Him without see then a while later he showed up.
Remember it is by faith that you believe, blessed are those who have seen Him but also blessed with those who have not seen Him.

Remember the word we walk by faith not by sight”
So stand on that and He will bring His presence over you

I experienced it too but during that fasting God made me realized the following;

1. Relax, stillness is the key. He wants us to enjoy his presence not to get pressured. I believe all sacrifices we do are not in vain.
2. Before we start everything we do for God always start with prayer. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to lead you (I have a lot of testimonial about this)
3. Humble ourselves before God. acknowledge that we can't do nothing apart from Him. And 2 Corinthians 2:9 acknowledge that we are weak and ask for the power of God to be made perfect in our weakness. Through that we are allowing God to move or to lead us on what we are trying to do.

there's a lot of things I want to say but I hope everybody is enjoying the presence of God. Thank you.

There were times during your speech that I winced. "God, if you are real?" That is why nothing happened. When you come to God, it cannot be based on feelings. No. It has to be based on faith and that is what pleases God. Faith! Now feelings have their place. God gave us the ability to feel, but that IS NOT what we use in seeking Him. It is faith. When you come to God you cannot say "If you are real." You might not get answered. He answers that for people who don't know any better. Doubt and unbelief do not come from God. They come from the enemy to rob you of your faith and a relationship with the God that loves you. Simply put, you just have to believe when come to God (Hebrews 11:6). While being honest and sincere are good, they are not to be used to get God to show Himself. That is for your believing (your faith). I pray that you come understand this truth. God bless you.

Aww my brother.. I feel for you. I’m fasting also myself right now and I needed assurance that God is with me in this journey because I’m suffering greatly now because of so much hunger and weakness in my body, and ironically and thankfully, I found that in this video.

All your questions about God not “responding” to you is unfortunately a clear indication that you do not know Him very well yet and it takes knowing Him first completely to understand that having a relationship with God is not and will never be about what we feel. Our emotions deceive us, it’s in fact one of the strongest holds that the enemy has on us by giving us deep depression, anxiety, loneliness, doubt, etc., to keep us away from God, and the Bible is very clear on that. You dont need to feel that You trust God in order to prove to yourself that you do. The fact that you would test Him (i dont know if consciously or unconsciously) by requiring him to make you feel a certain way after your fasting otherwise you’d be pushed to create this video (which you did) clearly shows that you don’t. You want immediate evidence, and just because God didnt “respond” to You in a way that You wanted Him to, you’re not really surrendering to Him, you’re only trying to control Him.

Trusting God has always required faith that no matter how things seem based on your feelings, it doesn’t mean it’s the truth. The truth is what’s written in the Bible and the Bible has always told us to prepare for many great tribulations. If this is the reason why you’re turning your back on Him, my dear brother, I pray that you re-think your decision.

Maybe once You finally do something that is actually for God and not for yourself, maybe that is when He’ll start showing up.

I rebuke you in love, my brother, that you may be saved. I’m sincerely praying for You. God bless you.

I feel you. You are sincere, and I can relate to your frustration. I am also struggling with a pretty similar situation.

But you know, seeking God and thinking we haven't found Him, is definitely not a new experience. We tend to wonder what is wrong with us after searching for God or doing our best and not hearing anything back. We feel rejected in a way because we see/hear Him revealing Himself to others and we fell there must be a problem with us then. Many borthers and sisters will try to find the fault in us too that explain our misery.

We read the Bible stories and we have the impression that those great men of God had amazing revelations from God all the time. But it is not exactly so, we have this impression because we can see the whole picture of their lives reading a few chapters in a couple of minutes. However, in many cases God spoke with them once in their youth and again many decades later when they were very old. I could give examples but let’s (try) keep it short.

These awesome patriarchs passed through a lot of frustration too. David was promised to be a King and was for many years (perhaps more than a decade?) running away from Saul as if he was a criminal. Abraham was called to leave everything and go to a promised land with honey and milk and was first led to a place where there was a famine. He was promised a son, more than a decade passed and nothing, out of frustration (thinking there should be a problem with his understanding of the promise) he decided to do it his way as you know the story. Elijah worked wholeheartedly for God and also got super disappointed, depressed and lonely at some point. Joseph was faithful and was thrown again into prison after long years there. I am sure it was very hard for him to understand why again, and I am sure he felt rejected and somehow betrayed by God; however, he did not give up believing God.

My favourite example is of John the Baptist, when he was in prison. Jesus was doing miracles in everyone's lives, but not even a visit to John who was imprisoned exactly because of the gospel. Even John, the greatest among men, felt bitter, lonely, forgotten by the One he dedicated his life to. He asked his disciples to ask Jesus if He was the One, imagine the magnitude of John's doubts! John preached about the Messiah his whole life and now he wasn’t sure about Jesus anymore.

Jesus’ answer was, after showing His work, "blessed are those who do not stumble on account of me". As hard as it is (I am also trying to digest and swallow it), one cannot be His follower without sticking to Him and trusting His goodness despite of the possibility of His silence, His incomprehensible acts, despite of broken dreams, unmet expectations, frustrations of all sorts and unexplained questions.

The narrow way is definitely hard at times. The so called gospel of prosperity and many Christian movements in which supernatural manifestations abound have hidden the reality that the Christian way is indeed a narrow way and full of sorrows as was the life of Christ himself.

Our faith grows when sweet miracles happen (and they do too, I am sure you’ve had beautiful blessings in your life. I have also sweet stories about my Christian journey) but also (and probably most) when it endures frustration. The greatest sacrifice and proof of love and faith towards God is when we persevere despite of His silence, when we still decide to never give up even when we don’t understand, when it doesn’t seem fair, when we feel unloved and rejected, when it can cost us all our dreams or whatever we hold dear. Until we can truly say like Job "God might kill me, but I have no other hope. I am going to argue my case with him".

“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” (James 1:12)

God does exist, we both know it, our desire for a connection with Him is also a proof of His existence. Don’t feel rejected, though it’s understandable. Decide to believe and trust in His goodness and love for us individually despite of any circumstances or feeling and He will reveal more and more of Himself to us, in His own way, in His own unexpected and unsearchable ways.

Remember that even Jesus at the cross cried out to God and, without finding immediate comfort, said “My God, my God, why did you abandon me?” (Mat 27:46) God didn’t abandon Him as we know very well. Jesus death had a purpose and Jesus did not give up believing His father’s love for him when He heard nothing from the father in his worst moment ever.

Let’s not give up on God, trusting His silence do not mean He doesn’t love us, but that there is a purpose we do not understand yet. The comfort will come only in trusting despite of not feeling or understanding.
Sorry for the enormous text.
Lots of love,

I tried to find God for years, never worked. He had to find me, as it is written.

Why do we think that we give God a timeline? Ok God, I’m giving you this number of days. You have to show up within this time frame, within this number of days. You are not the only one that has been through this. Trust me. We can’t force God, twist His arm to do whatever we want Him to when we want it. He knows all things.

No matter what people say on here you're definitely going about this all the right way! A relationship with God/The Devine is 100% just between you and God. Not between you, God, and the rest of the world that wants to tell you how to have that relationship. Personally I believe yhat you are much closer than you know and probably much closer than most. Keep doing what you are doing! You are inspiring! And you are not alone!

I'm so sorry for your heartbreak, to hear about your mental breakdown, and feeling as if you need to sacrifice the things you love in order to find God. I can definitely relate to all these things, as I too have experienced what seemed like endless searching through some religious and non-religious strivings and crying out with all my heart asking "Who are and where are you, God?"

I can only share my own experience because I believe God knows each of us personally and perfectly, and only he knows exactly what each of us need.
But I truly BELIEVE HIS Spirit has always been with each of us and that Spirit is LOVE. That Spirit of Love, is God and His name is Jesus Christ. He doesn't desire for us to search for him because he's already dwelling within us.
He only wants us to recognize Him where he already is. God desires to dwell within each of his children.
God has given us the ability to love like He loves, He's given each of us God-given talents that reflect His true character, and not the warped representation religion gives of Him. He wants us to share His love and use those gifts we've been given to inspire, uplift, and comfort others who don't recognize Him within themselves, yet.
Scripture says God is love and if you have love you are of God, you are His child.
Scripture says to ABIDE in His love and He then will give you the ability to share it abundantly with others, just as Jesus did.
He came to here to show us The Father, He said The Father and He are one, and Je disres to be one with us. He told His disciples, if you have seen me, you have seen the Father. He said, He only does the works of The Father.
So what did Jesus spend his life doing? He did many wonderful works but the one commonality in them all, was that He did them all, in and through LOVE. And He asks us simply to do the same, not through religious rituals and practices but simply in our life, in everything we do.
God so LOVED the whole world that he gave His only begotten Son, so that through HIM we could LIVE.
So my advice is to Live, to Love, and to share your God- gifts with others. Because that is how we glorify our Father in heaven.
You clearly have the fruits of The Holy Spirit....love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, kindness, faith, temperance, and meekness.

We have all been given these and some fruits are more prevalent and more abundant than others. But my point is every GOOD thing comes from Our Heavenly Father and I believe it is simply recognizing that and to use what He gives us and to share it with others.

Jesus said to only live one day at a time and not to worry about tomorrow, because He's already made the way and He will be with us and never leave us.

Scripture says all men have been given a measure of FAITH, so then we should just rest in Him, and share who he created us to be, with others.

In my case, when I stopped searching, that was when He showed me that He has always been here. But I was so preoccupied with the all searching for Him outside of myself, to only find that He had already been there all along.

God is a Spirit and we must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. The Spirit is Love, The Truth is Jesus.
Jesus talking to the religious
Matthew 9:13 King James Version (KJV)
13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have MERCY, and NOT SACRIFICE: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

The OT says the same
Hosea 6:6 King James Version (KJV)
6 For I desired MERCY, and NOT SACRIFICE; and the KNOWLEDGE of God MORE than burnt offerings.

There is only one true and living God and He came in the person of Jesus.

I hope you will begin to do what brings you joy because you're very talented and then you will begin to see the fruits that you feel you are lacking, will develop more and more.

Love and Blessings to all 💝

For me fasting came after I had encountered God and The Holy Spirit...I found God by searching the fears and complexities of my own soul...I was ready to die and it went up from there...I’m on my first fast of 3 days with nuts seeds coffee orange juice and water...I am excited to do this for humility and a demonstration of faith and gratitude and to receive my manifestation. It is a challenge but I am happy to do this. Selah (And I thank Him)

God does not have to reveal himself to prove his existence (Romans 1:20), he requires faith from humans from Genesis to Revelation. After all, we do not need faith for something we already know but for something we hope for.
John 4:48: Jesus asked, “Will you never believe in me unless you see miraculous signs and wonders?”

Keep praying and believing. God loves you. Don’t challenge God, He has His own timing for revelation. Besides He is with you always.

Hello, as I was looking for videos on fasting I seen your video so I decided to watch it. After I looking at it I just wanted to share that I use to feel nothing from God as well. I did not feel His presence but it was like everyone around me would felt him. Then one day during praise and worship I felt his presence and I started experiencing his power but then one day I felt nothing. I was in deep depression for about three years but I would continue to seek God because I knew He was real. I never took meds but I would continue to seek God and praise Him and then one day the fog was lifted. This was years ago. I still don’t feel Him like I use to but there are occasions where He makes his presence known to me. Feelings are good but they can misguided you. I was so depressed but I did not let my feelings lead me. Faith is the thing that pleases God. When I write this please don’t think it is pride because I felt like leaving Jesus but like Peter said when Jesus ask the disciples do you want to leave too and Peter said where would we go for you have the words to eternal life. I pray if you haven’t already go but to God but not with your feelings but with faith.
