Cattle farmers see increase in business

As consumers are making more effort to buy Canadian, some Eastern Ontario cattle farmers are seeing a boost in business. CTV’s Dylan Dyson reports.

and this is what l expect to see as we buy Canadian, we can easily push any usa product off our shelves..and it will show everywhere..for instance, , in buying Canada l found spring mix lettuce from Calgary greenhouses and that is what l buy, , as they get more support they will expand..a positive cycle is starting.

I was raised on a beef farm and it always tastes much better than imported. Ask your friends and co-workers if they know of any farmer who sells beef or pork cut and wrapped

Great stuff Canada!! So proud we are looking inward instead of the easy way we are finally doing it the right way! Need the interprovincial barriers all removed immediately, if needed we can look at impacts and adjust but let’s open it up and see how it goes

Haven't bought anything but local beef, pork, and poultry for 30 years. Buying local costs a little more but is better quality. Doesn't have the high water content of factory farm meats so doesn't shrink when cooking and the taste is next level.

I'm in Eastern Ontario we have a store here that sells almost all local. I can't eat packaged bacon every again.

Provincial government might need to partner with local butcher to create a meat, poultry, seafood hubs for each provinces for better profit for farmers rather than getting squeeze by corporate grocery chains.
