We had HUGE brahmas on the land surrounding our property. I remember 2 times we didnt have to go to school cause the bulls were fighting at our bus stop.

A rancher needs to be as light on his feet as a ballerina and fast as a cougar. And as tuff as a rhino

I am a horse rider and have been dragged way too many times I’ve also been on my horse and rolled on when I couldn’t get my feet outta the stirrups fast enough, not to mention thrown or landed on a jump a time or 6, been horned in the butt by ornery goats so you sir have my utmost respect for how nimble you are. You were light on your feet so 🫡

A Brahma bull is the one that got me, ragdolled my ass 15 feet into the air then tried to come back for more

We traded all our rowdy cows, including some Brahma for Angus. Calmer, didn't have to pull calves, less rodeo antics, small at birth & grow fast. After another 20 years, traded down to Dexters and couldn't be happier. All the benefits of Angus in a smaller, smarter, easier to handle package.

Yeah, having grown up in a rural area, I know you made the right call. One good kick and it's a trip to the hospital.

I’ve been working cattle the past 19 years from brangus, red angus, Brahman, limousine, hereford, & Dexter. That cow would have definitely stopped. Work your cattle often. They will know the routine. Be respectful and they will show respect. Ranch hand for life. Wouldn’t trade it for anything. Forever Farm tough 💪

You got to realise when you are working around stock like that you got to use your cattle yards properly if you don’t it is very dangerous. Specially when you are working around Baram and cattle I have seen them take gates off hinges and a lot of other things that you can imagine what they can do. I have worked around them for years longer than 22 years work your yards properly and you won’t get hurt
