People Hate The Lotus Eaters Quest! Shortest Warframe Quest Ever?

People were so mad at the Lotus Eaters quest Warframe had to apologize lol. If only they could do cutscenes without calling them quests, maybe it would help.

I was caught off guard by how short it was, but I was also distracted by what I saw in the quest itself, so I'm not that mad.

I mean, for how quickly it came out considering they went from WitW to Jade Shadows, to Lotus Eaters...why is anyone upset at how short it was? They told us it wasn't going to be very long.

Was anyone this upset when they did the 3 part prologue build up to New War???

More so it’s due to the fact that they also called the stalkers quest a short quest, and that one was like 35 minutes. So I’m guessing people also assumed this one would be around half an hour due to them also calling it a short quest.

I liked it but I was definitely caught off guard when the “quest complete” screen popped up, because I didn’t expect it to be that short

on the other hand i like it because I have a little pager now

I think if they had not released the mall area for a short time after Tenocon there may have been some incentive to export the area in lotus eaters. But I was expecting a little more of "something" felts a little too empty

I think the big thing making people angry is the quest was literally just answer a pager, go walk around the mall we've been too(but empty of any NPCs or enemies) and answer another pager. I get the point of it is us establishing a connection so our tenno can port over for Warframe:1999 but with no enemies to fight(or sneak around) its odd this wasnt just something we did at the start of the actually 1999 quest. Being its own separate thing is... odd.

The tittle being "Lotus eater" probably led people to believe we're gonna get a short boss fight or something

Should've called it prelude to 1999 or something

It's also a kind of nothing burger of a quest even for a prelude, like we just talked with lotus and followed a cat and did nothing

I think a couple things contributed to this:
1. They called both Jade Shadows and Lotus Eaters short quests, but they ended up being very different lengths.
2. The name "Lotus Eaters" as well as the art showing Lotus and whatever that giant statue is screaming at her made it seem like it would have more weight to it.

I wasn't that annoyed though, I thoroughly enjoyed it and found it interesting.

I think people wouldn't be so confused about this if it was just released a month out from 1999 update. There was really no point getting this prologue so early.

Well they should have said it was a prologue because when you say a short quest people think like 10 to 20 minutes but it's fine

What weirds me out is that they said it was a prelude over and over much like the prelude to new war. Only difference is we didnt get something like paracesis.

This was my first update since getting into the game properly 2 months ago. I can understand it's par for the course, but it was indeed really brief and didn't really seem to build up much imo

I thought it was going to be at least a bit shorter than jade shadows, like at least a single mission, ffs even ballas prologue was longer and even gave us paracesis
