I love when he talks over his shoulder like we are both there. It’s subtle but it brings you in. He’s excellent.

What would you rather do: watch a 2h long, $300m Marvel movie, or listen to Waldemar talking about Art für 3 hours straight?

Waldemar's ability to tell a compelling story, and illustrate it with juicy anecdotes, is arguably unparalleled in the art-commentary world. Suddenly, 2-dimensional characters in the art world take on another, and intriguing dimension. I love it.

I love the way Waldemar literally walks the streets, opens the doors and invites us through places and paintings, pointing out mysteries and explaining symbolisms. Like how glass on a table's edge is a reminder that life is precarious and who knew a lizard was a symbol of old age!

waldemar is one of art history's most important creators and educators. His knowledge, personality, and breadth are unmatched. Truly one of the greatest gifts of light to art in what feels like a growing hour of darkness.

I have watched many of your videos on artists and their art on TV, where there is no 'thumbs up' or 'subscribed' icons. I started watching in January 2024 and now want to let you know of my many hours of delight and laughter at your no-holds-barred analyses and humor. Keep them coming! Luckily I have been to many of these places and taught in high school, so listening to your narrations is a big pleasure for an 86 year old. I give you a big kiss on your cheek.

A fine trilogy, presented--as we all know--by the best. Life is enhanced by Waldemar's thorough assessments. Plus, now a whole lot more people know of Dobson, and why. Thank you thank you.

The artprograms with Waldemar are amongst my faouvorite times spendt. I am not even a big artknower at all, neither do i paint…and…yeah, I do, unfortuanally have very little knowlegde of art beforehand. I dont remember how i came across them - probably watching something about history, or some Kings and Queens, what are something i could have looked up. Now they are in a neat little folder, and I am so happy if i find one i havent watched earlier - otherwise i have no problem watching the sane ones over and over too. He is the best host! Its such a good time, and i feel so welcomed! Its such a pleasure walikng with Waldemar and enjoy all the beatiful, beautiful fantastic art! And all the stories! And how its told and showed! I totally love every little inch of those programs! ☺️☺️☺️ They give me a nice feeling that stays! I usually watch early in the morning, before i get bothered by anything or anyone, no telephone, no nothing, just me, coffee, cat and Waldemar and all the artist, his timemachine, and all the universes he is able to unlock and show. I havent enjoyed anything so totally and peacefully since i, once upon a time, a very long time when i was about eleven or twelve and first read «the lord of the ring» - not that the two are connectedin any other way, but the way I was and now are totally absorbed by both. 😀☺️

On top of all this - i also learn things - alot of things! Not just of arts - which are so interseting and fun! ❤️🤗 But on history, religion, big personalities and so much about human nature and about life it self! 🙂❤️🌟

Thank you, Thank you to Waldemar, for giving us such gems of some wonderfull videos! 🤗❤️🙂 All the best, and much love from Anlaug in Norway.

Waldy reminds me of one of those (very) few teachers you had in high school where it was actually fun to go to his class.
You actually end up learning stuff, and almost feel guilty for enjoying school for a little while.
Then later you wonder why most other teachers can't accomplish the same feat. Waldy makes it look so easy. But it ain't.

The history and symbolism behind the great art of history is fantastic.
Waldemar is someone I'd enjoy taking a class from or just going to hear him lecture for an afternoon.
