Do you need a Spring Reverb in your rig?

For today’s video we are taking a look at the new EF-P2 Spring Reverb pedal from Echo Fix. The Spring Reverb is the newest addition to their lineup and packs an excellent sounding spring reverb circuit into a pedalboard friendly package. This is a great unit for someone who’s looking to add that classic touch to an amp that doesn’t have a tank built in.

The EF-P2 features a simple 4 knob layout that lets you fine tune the reverb effect. Spring Drive controls the amount of input hitting the tank, lower levels will give you a cleaner effect while cranking it up will introduce some distortion to the reverb signal. Bass and Treble knobs offer the ability to boost/cut the frequencies of the reverb signal, and the Reverb Volume controls the amount of level of the reverb in relation to the dry signal. The second footswitch also allows you to kill the direct signal which is awesome for ghostly textures, and very useful if you want to try and use the pedal as outboard gear with your recording setup.

In keeping with their excellent aesthetic, the EF-P2 features a VU meter to see how hard your input is hitting the reverb rank, as well as a window into the spring tank that lights up with your signal input.

Thank you to Echo Fix for including me in your launch.
