another way is (if you're multiplying by tens (or even lower 8/9)) you multiply the number by tens (just add a 0 at the end, and then the whole number by 2 for example (if you're using 20) and multiply the remainder with the difference between the numbers


let's say 23×18=we can rewrite it as (23×20)-(23×2)=460-46=414
