In this video I take you through the process of making an espresso using the KINGrinder K6. We start with weighing the beans out at 18.5 gram dose. Then prepping the espresso puck using WDT and a precision sef leveling tamper. I’m using a deep extraction basket with a paper filter at the bottom. Going for a 1:2.5 ratio so I am shooting for the output to be around 46grams in around 25 seconds.

Thanks for checking out this video! 🙌☕️

Thank you for this video - you're the only one that shows how the clicks work with the markings up close and how it goes all the way around several times. I could not figure that out for the life of me and the product photos aren't clear either. I'm not sure if I'm sold yet (a lot of work for fine grind, lol), but at least now I understand how it works!

Thanks for video. Very informative. It would be great if you could share a video of the pros and cons of the product based on your experiences during this time. Also, you should have decided on the ideal number of clicks for espresso :) looking forward to it

Very Helpful video!
By the way, K6 has a lot of statics, try to spray just a little bit of water on coffee beans before grinding (results are great!)

I have the same grinder and use it also with a Gaggia, the Carezza, with the portafilter upgraded to an unpressurized portafilter. For my machine it requires slightly less ground beans, 15g for a double espresso which for the best taste I stop the machine at 42 grams and usually 25 seconds from when you press the button to start gets the right flavour if you get that 42 grams. I do let it drip just a little after i press stop until the weight is 50 grams. The K6 grind size I have varies depending on the bean but in similar area to you. 29 clicks up to 32 clicks. Each bean differs slightly and I have learned that by trusting the numbers and grinding to get those numbers the flavour always seems to come out best. I am less inclined to trust my tastebuds as sometimes I taste it and think I should go finer but the numbers suggest coarser. Then when I go coarser it is in fact better. So for me the 42g at 25 seconds is a good sweet spot in my machine and grinding to achieve that works best for me.

Do you ever use it for pour over? I'm struggling to get the right amount of clicks for it to taste good.

Thanks @Trent for the review! What about this resin or plastic thing on it with the name, can it be removed? I'm asking as it looks like resin which with time get sticky, I could be wrong about it(hopefully I am). Please share your thoughts.

Literally starting on this espresso road righ now. AS someone who only drinks, puerh and love it, do you believe that the K6 will be enough to begin? I live in Brazil so the price its a bit much, so i have to choose wisely. I see a lot of people talking about the K4 being better for it, but i can´t find anywhere around here.

Having such a hard time dialing in on my Bambino! It recommends around 40 clicks for espresso, and im using a fairly dark roast. Should I be going even courser? It’s definitely very acidic every time, and it keeps spraying everywhere through the portafilter. I keep seeing some people say 30 clicks but that’s way off of the recommendation so im not sure. Thoughts?

Very helpful video, Trent. I just bought a K6. For medium dark roast, would 30 clicks still work? Would a V6 pour over and French Press be 60 clicks? Thanks!

I have the same grinder but I find it so hard to grind. 😅 I don’t manage to make it smooth and it takes forever

Sadly they changed the handle due to Comandante suing them. It's now a straight lever with a simple round bead for a knob. The rest is unchanged though.

Loved the grinder. Until the rubber band became loose and grip is really difficult, and the pin that holds the turning knob gave up and now there is nothing to hold it in place. Perfect grinder until that.

I was on 30 clicks initially too, got a 15 seconds shot and was too sour. slightly better on 26 clicks but still got to go finer.

I find the recommendation too coarse

Way too much coffee, bro. I would have cut the brew much earlier.
