Portland mother calls for end to violence in protests: 'This has to stop. No one else can get hurt.'

Marie Tyvoll joined the front lines of the Portland protests on Monday night in a plea to end the violence: "This is a peaceful protest. This is a constitutional right. ... I can't take this any more. This has to stop. No one else can get hurt."

As a German I'm far away from these protests and I watched it live on Twitch. So she is talking about a peaceful protest right? Well, I've seen a lot of people throwing things at the cops. And like at similar protests in Germany, some girls are in front close to the cops provoking them. And if they get their ass kicked, they cry and shout something stupid about police brutality. Everybody remembers G20 in Hamburg / Germany. Destroying and looting is not peaceful. These people are ruining it for the people who really protest peacefully.

Protesters should not burn, loot and pull people out of cars. Playing with fire leads to being burned. Jumping off a building leads to death. Why is it okay for protesters to take away rights of others trying to peacefully drive down the streets or enjoy their city?
