Sorry, but the method in the video does not work. The Sleep and Hibernate options on the Start Menu are still greyed out, and there aren't any options for Sleep or Hibernation in my Power Options either.

Thanks for a clear and concise tutorial, pleasantly presented. Unfortunately, the steps fail in my version of Win 7 Pro x64. Anything I can try? For MS to ship the OS with Sleep mode disabled is a bit lame.

I've turned this option from "not configured" to "disabled"
and the Sleep option's still greyd out in the Start menu
But in the Control Panel's Power Options
I can set the "Power Button" and "Closing The Lid" to sleep

The Group Policy fix did not help to add the Sleep mode . I also ran sfc /scannow (as administrator) and no Integrity problem was found . Can the problem be due to NVIDIA not working properly ? I click on the NVIDIA Control in the Control Panel and it (the NVIDIA Control) doesn't open .
