A wonderful explanation. I just got my DVLA post returned back today and started checking online until I ended up on your video.
Just to share a reference my brother moved to uk in June 2021 and send his dxb Liscence to DVLA along with his BRP and got his UK full Liscence within 40 days. He was also shocked when I informed that DVLA returned my post.

This video is a life saver. I got the letter done today and one addition. The actual staff in the police headquarters Sharjah (driver license branch) won't be able to help in case of a Dubai driving license. However, you need to go to office number 7, the typing center and ask for Ms. Daniah. She's the one who will get it done for you. Good luck!

very useful, now this is available online through MOI addressed to UK. I just received my certificate online and downloaded. Next is to get it attested by ministry of foreign affairs. thank you so much.

Thank you very much for this video. I was in the same situation. I have a better news. I just applied the letter and got it online. MOI help desk was superb and guided me all the way through. Please follow the below steps:
1. Register in MOI app using new email address which is not linked to your emirates id.
2. Select 'To whom it may concern - verification of license data'
3. You will see a screen that says 'sorry no data found'
4. Click the green color + Button in the bottom of the page.
5. Proceed for payment using uae issued card (you will see your traffic file number incorrectly mentioned on screen. Just ignore it.(

Thank you so much for detailed information I got my letter just half an hour ago though a friend. He will dispatch my via DHL very soon and will get in few days. I had applied few jobs which mentioned DVLA license needed so I badly needed that.

I was literally able to see your pain of dealing with UAE Gov related works. Though, good news is, they have upgraded their system. I have Dubai License and in April-2023 I generated my letter online through MOI with few clicks. Thanks to their agility.

Thanks for the information. I got the MOI license data verification letter through typing center after submitting copies of passport, eid and license. Just spend around 100 including their service charges.
I got the license with in 3 weeks 😍

Just got my UK driving licence in exchange of UAE license after just one month reaching in UK. This video is very helpful. No attestation is required from anywhere. Just Data Verification Letter from MOI. If your license id from Dubai, just send someone to Sharjah MOI and they will issue the letter. Its very hard to explain them but keep trying they will issue it to you. Sometime they send you to immigration office and other places but just keep asking them to issue it or meet their manager. For rest of the places other than dubai, letter can be taken online. All the best to you all.

Hi, thanks for your video. I would just like to add that if you are in Dubai you can go to the Al Manara Happiness Centre, off SZR and you will find a RTA kiosk where you can print and pay for your letter for 120AED (you will need your UAE driving license number) and in the same building is a typing centre (turn left after the Kiosk) and you can pay one of the typing centres to send your letter off to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be stamped. This will cost slightly more than going to the ministry yourself at 250AED and will take 3 to 5 working days to be returned to you. I have just done this for my son and it has taken me 15 minutes.

Thank you so much dear. It was so helpful.. I also have question when you got the UK license was the license issue date same as in Dubai license or a updated date..?? What my doubt is if the experience in Dubai license will be considered by the UK DVLA. For eg: I have a Dubai license issued on 2017 so will I get a UK license of same year??
