And DAUNTLESS was their courage !

0:09 -- In 1942/43 My father was a USN
mechanic for carrier aircraft just like these. He would tell me the stories. I weep for the "DAUNTLESS" courage of the crews of the 41 TBD Devastator torpedo planes who in the face of impossible odds -- stayed on target. It is not possible to overemphasize the bravery of those crews. We easily remember the firemen and police of 911, but should do much more to remember those TBD airmen of midway. Even though their mission was ineffective, it distracted the enemy down to sea level where, if they had been looking at the sky, would have seen the dive-bombers of the U.S. Navy SBD Dauntlesses before it was too late for them. @ 0:09 is the classic World War II Navy photo of the SBD Dauntless dive bomber.

I just heard something that my generation needs to hear.
Everyone keeps talking about leadership as if everyone should be a leader. We all can’t be leaders- we all need to learn how to follow before we can lead. We need to study followship first.
