NASA Is Sending Squirrels To Space

Squirrels are to be sent in to space by NASA. The project is the first of its kind and aims to study the effects of torpor in a microgravity setting.

That sounds exactly like every sci fi I have ever seen.
A (really claustrophobia-inducing) chamber that you sleep in for a while till you get to a planet, where you are quickly eaten by an alien
