I never saw my ol man cry, ever in my life. I saw him cry for the first time when Earnhardt passed.

Dale backed up to Jeff to get a good understanding as how his car ran with a really fast car. Jeff got pranked. 😆

Don't mess with him lol😂. He was the man. I don't care much for Nascar anymore. Just isn't the same. 😢

Sounds like ol' Dale "whoopsed" the air right off of Jeff's spoiler in the middle of the corner🤣🤣🤣

Dale understood anything that was dirty including air.

That's what made Jeff such a good driver driving with the best.

When NASCAR was still NASCAR and not the screwed up version of itself it is today.

That’s old school. The reason for that is Dale wanted to see what his car would do in dirty are with other fast cars. The dude was a racing genius.

I remember a superspeedway race (not sure if Talladega or Daytona) where the race was stopped due to it starting to rain. All the cars were parked on the track, in position. Stewart was the lead, followed by Dale. All the drivers were out of their cars. All of a sudden Stewart starts doing a rain dance. When asked what he was doing by one of the announcers, he said, "There's no way in hell I want to do the last two laps of this race with Dale on my butt." Fortunately for Stewart, the race was called.

Dale was a master at stealing air and bump-and-run. I remember guys calling the race would so often argue whether there was any contact. Even with replay it was hard to tell.

My favorite was a one-mile race where Dale was in the lead on the last lap, going into turn 3, protecting the bottom. Right behind him was Mayfield, doing the Intimidator thing, and Dale got loose. As he floated up the track in turn 4, Mayfield and two other cars slipped under him. Mayfield won, of course; and as he was doing the victory lap, Dale went by him with his middle finger out the window. In pit row, the announcer, speaking to Dale, said "I noticed y'all had a little sign language goin' on out there." Dale grinned and replied, "I was just telling him he was number one." Dale could dish it out, and take it like a pro when it was dished back. "That's just racing."

I sure miss watching that guy take a crap car, on a provisional, all the way to the front of the pack. I never worried where he was starting a race. I knew he'd be up front when it came right down to it.

That’s So Dope
Dale waited knowing Gordon had a Winning ride so Dale waited and took that air off Jeff and let him go for a ride
Best car out before the race even starts 😁
