For anyone who’s wondering that metal he’s wearing is called the cross of St. George

Plenty of former Tsarist officers ended up in the Red Army. The idea that being a veteran of the Tsarist army is dangerous is ridiculous because most men were drafted during WW1. Numerous defections to the Red Army occurred.

Dude threw the guard off the train while taking a puff 😂 legend

During WW2, it was completely legal and even rehabilitated in the military to have tsarist medals so I don't understand why the dude wanted to call the guards.

This medal is the order of St.George issued to high ranking officers only, meaning the guy in the video was an imperial high ranking officer, hance the reaction of the soviet officials.

Oherwise the imperial soldier's medals, especially St.George's cross (not the order) were respected among the Red Army soldiers.

Interesting fact... this movie is based on a life or a real man who served in WW1 and was basically expert in hand to hand combat. When Germans invaded in 1941, he forced his way into Red Army, but because of his age (62), he was tasked with logistical work. Using a horse and a wagon, he was responsible for bringing ammo, food, mail, and what ever necessary to front lines. During one of the routine ammo runs, he was intercepted by Germans and taken as POW. Germans were making fun of him, given his respected age and did not think that this man can posses much of a threat. As the dawn approached Germans fell asleep, leaving 1 solder to guard this man. Soviet solder got hold of his axe and killed 12 Germans, 4 of which lost their heads. Than he open one of the creates in his horse wagon and took out several grenades, which he thru inside of German sleeping tents, bringing total to 38 kills. 1 Soviet solder + 1 Axe = 38 dead Germans. When he came back to his unit, his C.O. started yelling at him because this solder was 2 days late and wanted to court marshal him. However that old man explained the reason why was he late. C.O. did not believe him, especially his claim of 38 dead Germans. So the solder offered to show them the spot. Several officers and the old man went there and sure enough 38 dead buddies, 4 of which were missing their heads. After that the old man became hand to hand combat instructor within his unit and later on joined scouting unit. Became a legend, scouting unit commander, rose to the rank of an officer and received many accommodations for his bravery, inventiveness and many other qualities. This man became so valuable that he and his unit only carried out the most daring and almost impossible missions while receiving their orders personally strait from generals. This man went thru entire war and died shortly after it at the age of 84.

I am disliking this because there is no title and it says there are seven comments when it’s really only showing 3… what kind of BS from YouTube is this?

Having Tsarist medals didn't make you unfit to join the Red Army, even General Zhukov had 2 crosses of St. George and yet he was probably the most respected person in the army that not even Stalin could do anything about since it would anger the soldiers.

Lol, this Russian TV series is a mockery of the memory of Soviet WW2 veterans, just think about it, this is a former tsarist officer who fought against the Bolsheviks, whose Bolsheviks exiled his whole family to a terrible Gulag, and burned his native village. He's going to fight...for the same Bolsheviks. He will ask what does "mockery of memory" have to do with it? Instead of making a series about "real" war heroes, they shoot a series full of anti-Soviet myths (which have long been refuted) and play on TV on the main holiday of the country ("May 9th"). Old Soviet films are head and shoulders above modern Russian films and TV series.

Anyone who is surprised that the commander called the guards should remember Stalin's purge when he ravaged the army of officers, that is the main reason for that hard "victory" in the winter war. Yugoslavia did not recognize the Soviet Union as a state until 1939. The Belo Army men and veterans from the First World War had to hide and keep quiet so that the communists would not kill them. The same thing happened after 1945 with the Serbian Chetniks who fought against the Germans, Italians, Bulgarians, Croats and others, but the communists killed them because they did not want to hand over power to them. defense of their homeland and even bombed the German positions in Hungary, Austria and Bulgaria even though they were few and most of the aviation was destroyed at the airfield. Communists are an evil that wants power and money which is not much different from capitalism...
