The wing chun master said that the difference between ring fight and street fight is the purpose of fight. On the stage, fighters are using their skills and reactions with each other in a fair condition to fight to the end. But, on the street, there is unfair competition situation. You will face a man or some men who are angry in hell want to kill you. That be totally different situation than on the ring fight. The martial arts are increased to defend or kill someone in an efficient and prompt ways to make your enemies stop fighting. It likes the Bruce Lee said just one punch, all gone!

These two Sifus are humble and selfless: decades ago, such a knowledge were kept secret to one's family or association. They are worthy of the title of good SIFU in every way. What they said and demonstrated were priceless! Thank you for sharing..👍👍

The humbleness of the Shaolin Monk was great to witness. His willingness to be taught by another great Master is truly a testament to the philosophies of the Martial Arts.

They were basically talking about the differences between fighting on the ring and fighting on the street, Master Tu said that most of the traditional martial arts are not doing good on the ring is because the training is focused on how to quickly take down one guy who is in the rage, like a angry drunk guy at the bar who is attacking you with no reason. Which means the guy in the rage will most likely to attack you for real (with no fake moves) and also more aggressive, trying to hurt you with one full body swing. He said that traditional martial arts is going to do well in this kind of situation, because what they training for is how to counter a certain situation like this, but not to fight someone in the ring knows how to fake a move, dodge or fight with a strategy. Sorry for my shitty English.

Seeing two experienced men talking, being respectful and trying to better themselves in different techniques is beautiful to watch. Humble and respectful. Rare today. No ego in the room. The body can do amazing things when the mind is focused and clear.

All of you younger folks have NO IDEA how lucky you are to see this, and possibly train with people like Sifu Tengyao. Back in the "day" you could only read about this, or maybe see something similar in the movies. Amazing to be young these days, treasure them!

I love how much these masters respect each other. I love their curiosity and explanation towards each other. Ego is not involved. It’s pure budō.

Culture, honor, respect! You know this is amazing to see when you can just watch and not know what is being said, but still be amazed. This is awesome.

This is real exchange of skills. This still happens. People respect and share and this why you can go train which shishu or uncle, a friend of your teacher and for free. The real Chinese teachers don't charge but demand respect. You are basically adopted and become family.

when the Taichi master coils up into dancing fight stance, it makes me see how dangerous this man could be. He is so fluid and it looks so natural for him, his footwork is glorious. I especially love how fast he can close the gap between him amd his opponent rendering the use able 'coiling' space for body mechanics useless. what a treat to be able to watch this! ❤
