The game of Basketball has been my passion since I was 5 years old. I grew up as a kid watching my dad's recorded VHS tapes of playoff games through the 70s and 80s, and collected all the Basketball cards. Something about the game and what it represents just hooked me from a very young age.
My love for the game only continues to grow as time goes on. I love studying and analyzing the game, with an unbiased perspective. Feel free to subscribe, follow me on social media, and celebrate this amazing game and it's rich history with me!
I post videos every week on NBA history, predictions, hypothetical scenarios and current NBA topics.

Here's MJ in anime terms:

He was a super saiyan during the regular season.

A super saiyan 2 during the playoffs.

And a super saiyan 3 during the finals.

The only time he was a regular saiyan was during his years with the wizards, and he never once was pushed to go to his final form. I absolutely believe that MJ had one last gear up his sleeve that was sadly never used because his finals series never went to a game 7.

The Suns series was probably the closest thing to him getting pushed to his final form, but even then, i still think he has a level above that.

Your "No Left, Done with the 90s" video at 1:50:44 is still the best, most beautiful video I've ever seen on YouTube.

Jordan's bulls means more in terms of basketball influence than any basketball team in the history of the game

Very cool compilation, Jonny! I saw the first part about Phil Jackson, and you make a great case for him to be the greatest coach ever. It definitely isn't easy to manage so many egos. One can bring up brilliant gameplays, but, as you clearly indicated with your video, interpersonal relations and motivation are also critical. I agree that Jackson was excellent at both - he knew how to lead the team and create brilliant strategies. I agree that he was integral to the Lakers' and Bulls' success.

Excellent GOAT case for MJ. He's my choice for GOAT also. I admire how he was excellent on both ends of the court and was consistent. Indeed, while everyone has bad games (MJ included), MJ stepped up in the finals and that's why I give him the edge over LeBron (as you mentioned, LeBron infamously played poorly in the 2011 NBA Finals). While there is a solid GOAT cases for others, I agree that Jordan's excellence on both ends of the court (along with how he is skilled at so many aspects of the game) and his consistent excellence is why he's better than others.

You gave a solid argument for why the 95-96 Bulls could beat the Warriors. I think Pippen and Rodman would hamper Durant (I think they both would guard him). I agree too that MJ and Harper would give Thompson and Curry trouble, respectively. I also think that while MJ doesn't have the greatest 3 point percentage, he would step up in the finals and would have a good 3 point shooting performance (just like how he did in 1992). Steph's the better shooter, but I think MJ would knock down critical 3 point shots. It'd be an epic 7 game series between the Bulls and the 2017 Warriors.

I will be watching more of the compilation, but really enjoy the beginning of it (and am excited to watch more of it) :). I hope you had a nice Christmas, Jonny! Take care :).

3:07 The look on Krause's face as he's staring at Rodman's name on the back of a bulls jersey is priceless😂. That right there shows you how much beef Chicago and Detriot had back then😂. The last dance may have left a couple of things out from those days for all we know.

I just want to give props to KC Jones who won 8 MBA championships as as a player. Won 2 NCAA college championships. Coached his teams to 5 championships wining 2 while losing 3. He too like Phil Jackson had HOF players on his roster. He coached his teams to 4 60+ seasons and has a .643 winning ng pct. Also Billy Cunningham is a coach no one talks about. He won a Chsmpionship as a player, Coached the 6xers to 8 50+ game wins with two seasons with 60+ wins. 3 championship appearance while winning one. With a .698 wining pct!

Hey Johnny! Would you be able to make a video comparing the 1995-96 Bulls to the 1996-97 Bulls? The 97’ team went 69-13 that year, but they lost 3 of their last 4 games. I’m always surprised when I don’t see the 96-97 Bulls in the top 10 all time greatest teams on a few lists I’ve seen online. Oh yeah, and Chief was on the Bulls in 97’ 😁 You’re the best at making these kinds of videos for 80s-90s NBA nuts like me!
