MAKITA! Yep, not a thing wrong with brushed power tools. Replacing the brushes every few years is the main drawback. Then again, computers fail over time as well, and more expensive to replace. Also, the compact Makita may be 18v but the motor is only (let's be serious) made for a 12v system. In any case, OVERALL, they all got the job done. Not a bad tool in the bunch. 💯 Great video. Thanks and God bless! 😁👍

I’m team Makita as well Ed. Me and Robert don’t see eye to eye on it either but it comes down to everyone has a different preference. Some people live and die by the Hercules brand you know? It all comes down to what feels most comfortable and is affordable for you and the job you need it for as long as it gets it done it’s a winner in my book. Awesome video brother

Fantastic video! The concept, the camera angles, the editing, the multi colored timers. This was both enjoyable and educational viewing. Too bad, ..
Too bad you put the screws in the wrong place and had to go and take them all out.

I have a makita brushed impact driver and drill still going strong after 5-7 years, the original 3.0 battles are finally showing some wear in power
I never tried the sub compact line I talked with a makita rep and he said there more diy home owner tools vs what I need,

Good job with this video Ed. I might steal your idea but compare a new Milwaukee cordless to an old air impact.

I got some old Makita brushed tools laying around. I don't use them because the battery doesn't last anything. Maybe I should just replace the battery eh? One of them is 3/8 impact, but it can't take my lugs off my cars. Maybe because of the worn battery? I need to look the model number now 🤔

Cool vid. To be fair to the 3/8 impact you should try a test on lug nuts. Use a torque wrench to set the food pounds and check for the power. I would be interested in seeing a different playing field.
