Ross I love the fact that you made this vid...as a custom skin creator and user I find your genuine sorrow for the lost of this function to be wonderful. If only more people felt the same as you maybe we would have been able to keep customizing the game we all love. Thank you for the great content and I am sad to see this go. maybe i'm reading too much into it, but the lack of transparency or an official statement from Riot on removing custom skin functionality is a bit. . .odd. i mean, it is their prerogative, their intellectual property, and they can do what they wish. it'd feel a bit better if they kept the dialogue up and were like: "hey this file type will remove custom skin functionality thx bai". just my onion. has layer.

Riot is becoming more and more money grabbing than ever. At the beginnings the RIOT did things for community and they were listening them. now ? if there is no money from it why should they bother ? it's sad for me to see what league devolved into. i remember olde fun times. countless items, nonenforced meta etc.. press F for all those who contributed to the community and hope that riot will finally hear us out.

This makes me sad ;-; these were so much fun to use. I used a wheatly and frozen vel'koz skins. I used one that turned Ashe into Madoka from Madoka Magica. I made my map into a beautiful frozen wasteland. I played with an icy HUD. I turned Master Yi into Kirito. This was one of the coolest communities... just ever. I feel like they ought to have like... weekly or monthly competitions where skin creators can enter their own skins in as a competition, the winners get the skins for free along with the skins implemented into the game. Just... I dunno :/ I feel like there ought to be some way to support or bring back this community. I wish more games just in general would allow for people to make their own client side stuff. Just... I dunno.

I've made and used tons of custom skins, this makes me feel horrible for people who put days and days into skins. The longest time I worked on a skin was 29 hours. My project was blood moon Leona by working with particles from Diana and twisted fate mainly.

As someone who made custom skins, this makes me so upset :( But I hope all these videos being made show Riot how cool it was. Riot has an incredibly creative fan base. If they implimented something like DOTA, where both the creators AND the studio benefit from custom skins, that just opens up for so many possibilities(and Id drop my wallet for that stuff hard for a fanmade project teemo skin)
